but I believe booking is now closed - so if you haven't already booked, unless you add your name to this thread by Friday 9pm, you may be in any old heat if you turn up Sunday

Here is the possible heat list for Sunday - if your name isn't there then it wasn't on the book in site tonight - get typing :woot:

Thunderstorms.....

In the past, races have been stopped during thunderstorms.... standing in a field with a metal stick in the air not being the safest position. Is this still the case when using 2.4 transmitters?

As you are a short-a&$e, with a short aerial, held low down, you'll likely be the last one to be struck ! ! !

or to be on the safe side, don't go on the rostrum

Hulk 24-06-2011 11:38 AM

No thunderstorms according to the met office

Sunday humid, very warm, dry and bright until the evening when showers slowly spread southwards

It's only Google that thinks there will be thunderstorms - their cache must be screwed

Hi Bill,

Just seen the news about the change from Saturday/Sunday at South Shields to Sunday only at Nissan.

I was coming to the Saturday only and afraid I can't make the Sunday.

Real shame as both South Shields and Nissan have been my favourite venues over the years.

So, no shake down for me before the Buggy GP.

Cheers and have a great day.

Keith.

Some race results, times, places etc from today's meeting - all unofficial of course.
If you see any errors please advise Kash, the NE Rep.

If anyone knows Andy Bulmer, point him to this post - he was asking about series results to date.

Results:- NEAM - 26-06-2011 - at Nissan

Thanks to everyone who raced or helped out in any way at all. It made for a pretty good days racing I reckon

Big thanks to all who helped out, and a bigger thanks to Jeff .... this wouldn't have been possible without his commitment.

Really good days racing, gutted I under qualified, but never mind....

I still cant quite figure out how most people were as fast with 2WD as with their 4WD when looking at finals.....??

errrrrrrr - I might have something to do with that :bored:

As RHR ran 2 & 4 on different tracks, the settings for the First pass the loop were different, one counting first pass, one not. I didn't change this setting for NEAM as I should.

Results are still correct, just the first counted lap in 4wd is a lot longer time.

Hope that helps.
