Very true but we were racing in the dark, the meeting didn,t finish till after 8pm. and some did not do their finals because of the traveling.

Chrislong 05-04-2011 02:27 PM

Why don't you get on the reserve list, and book in sooner for the rest?

There is point in doing the remaining regionals, as you will drop your worst round, so do all the remaining and you'll be fine.

Note: Batley have a pre booking already open for there regional. Enter now to avoid dissapointment.

Was planning to enter this but if can't is there any point doing the rest of the regional series?

It is 4 from 6 so the answer is yes.

Presumably if the entries get too high on a regular basis they would perhaps look at separate days for each class but that hasn't been scheduled for this season. They were probably not anticipating such a keen level of interest but I know quite a few have changed from mid west to north west, plus there is more interest in 1/10 off road generally it seems.

Fastest finger first.
:P
Oh, and South Lakes is pre booking open already too...

Medders 05-04-2011 02:51 PM

It only finished so late last year because the start time was late and booking in took so long (due to unexpected numbers). Surely we could have a couple more heats to avoid people missing out on the regional series?

Its not as easy as just doing other meetings as not possible to make all dates.

Just a shame that there is looking to be quite a few that won't be able to race, and feels even more of a shame when there are lots of people doing two classes too.

RickRick 05-04-2011 04:43 PM

southlakes will be doing pre booking in, we'll post on here and our site as soon as we work out who's doing it, and how many we'll cater for, probably aim for same numbers as southport, parking might get tricky!

But Medders, why add more heats just because you were late to enter? Surely if you knew you were going to miss an event or two already its in your interest to pre-book in good time? Now you're too late its your own fault, sorry.

110 is on the high side as it is.

Be on the reserve list, turn up, and take a chance. Hopefully everyone shows but on the off-chance of a space for you atleast you'll be there.

Stotty 05-04-2011 06:11 PM

Just getting into the electric and RC scene.
Should be good to come and watch all you guys racing this sunday :D
Maybe next year I will be in the nationals series.

Tom3012 05-04-2011 06:31 PM

As Chris has said 110 is a busy day! 120 is a national amount and that takes a hell of a lot of man power to organise and run smoothly! If we could have more heats we would, unfortunately its not possible! Think about it, setting up the track, booking people in still has to be done, running the day smoothly, and then packing it all up after, its a long day for the club!

Nobody wants to see someone not racing but thats just the way it is, im with Chris maybe you should of booked in earlier? Booking in has been online for three weeks... Not having ago, just saying..

paulc 05-04-2011 07:14 PM

Will we be able to have a practice run ? If so could it be done in heat order if the heats are allready sorted or near enough before sunday ?

It will be free practice on the day as it more hassle for the few that help out to sort.

looks like it should be a good turn out looking forward to it, but i think practice will be better in heat order so everyone gets a practice, if its free pracice everyone goes mad and piles on the rostrum till there batteries go flat and not everyone gets a go
