I read an article on this just the other day, from what I remember they was saying that anything over approx 40" LCD wise is a big risk becuase of the impurities... And getting a piece of LCD that large without any impurities is difficult......

my mate left his xbox paused for an hour or two and ever since, whenever hes watching dark movies all he sees is a car in the foreground:yawn:

I think it takes longer than an hour or 2, plus the 360 has an anti burn thing where it dulls the screen after a few mins of non activity. I have had a plasma for a year now and had no problems, it sits on c beebies most days and we have no burn problems. I was told a thousand hours before you get to see a noticable print

Our samsung plasma at work burns easily with a VGA signal on it for 20mins or so, or 'the hits' logo if we put freeview on :D

Some moving pictures make it go away eventually though.

its a good job ashleyb4 doesnt have a plasma, otherwise he wouldnt be able to hide his porn obsession, there'd be a constant imprint on the screen making out "MILF Hunters" in the corner when his mum is watching eastenders or something lol.

Make sure you check some reviews before buying;)

i agree. the new range is also pretty good, picking up several awards.

the 37 inch model with full 1080p panel for £700 is the pick of the bunch!

Thats not screen burn, thats image retention, some screens are more susceptible than others. My Panny suffers from it slightly, but only when you turn the screen off and are in a pitch black room you can see a faint ghost image, after about 5 minutes it goes away.
