the is one way off getting gift payments back, if and only if u paid through paypal withdrawing the money from a credit card, not a debit card then u can ring up the bank and cancel the payment, this is how paypal scammers work, but in this case if u dont get what you have paided for you may have a chance

hi all just to keep you all in the loop i have 3 emails from him today saying he will send them out for saturday and his really sorry for it all,

just to make it clear i did not send the money as a gift so i have told paypal and there have reversed the money.well there have it till its sorted,this is why he might be trying to sort it out lol.
