Hi all,

Just a reminder about the RCCAOI round on Sunday May 1st.
The National round is for 4wd cars only, but there will be a normal days racing for 2wd cars also - so please come racing as normal.

The current track design will stay the same until the national round is over - so you will be tackling a new track for the next club championship round on May 8th.

Best of luck, and I hope you will all support a great event.

Will

Good idea to keep the track the same so we are able to practice on it coming up to the round.
Well done on the website results etc Will as im sure it takes up a lot of your time.

Hi All,

Just a quick reminder about racing in Griffeen Valley this Sunday - May 1st: it's the first RCCAOI round for 4wd only. So classes being raced on the day are;

4wd Modified (RCCAOI only - open to everyone, register on the day)
4wd Clubman (RCCAOI only - open to everyone, register on the day)
2wd Modified (All DMCC members and guests)
2wd Clubman (All DMCC members and guests)

I hope that anyone with a 4wd 1/10th Electric Offroad car from all over the island will come and participate. The clubman class means that there will be great competition amongst the novice drivers using 10.5 turn or greater motors.

PM me if you have any questions,

Will

I should also have mentioned that the track is now closed until Sunday morning. This is to allow as much grass recovery as possible before the national round.

Anyone found using a car on the track prior to open practice on Sunday morning will be deemed to have damaged the track surface on purpose and may be subject to a disciplinary measure.

Be warned....

Just a thought . Maybe you should run a club 2wd class as not all 2wd drivers will register for nats and possibly drivers who normally run 4wd will only want to run in 2wd nats:confused:
You dont want 2wd drivers not running in nats to think they wont have a race.

The 2wd and 4wd clubman class has been specifically introduced this year to do away with the need for coinciding "club" racing to take place on the day of the RCCAOI national event.

We need as many people as possible to register and race in the nationals as a report and photos will be going into Racer magazine and we need to look healthy.

Can I check the cost of racing at the 2WD RCCAOI Nationals on 5-June?
i.e. the cost of RCCAOI membership + Round 1 entry fee, for both Juniors & Seniors. We will promote this event at club racing tomorrow night, so would be good to have all the correct info to pass on.
Thanks.

Mugenextreme 24-05-2011 05:24 PM

Eda

It's 15euro to join the Rccaoi with electric class included, for anyone already a member in a different class (eg nitro 1/8) its 5 euro to register for a extra class.

Race fees are either 5 or 10 euro , think someone from the Club committee will need to confirm that.

Colin

tony6187 24-05-2011 06:01 PM

membership to the rccaoi is a one off 10 euro membership + 5 euro for the class(this covers both 2wd+ 4wd rccaoi nationals) on the day you will have to pay your entry to the club which i beleive is 5 euro
