Thats right I broke a front inner hinge pin in 3 places on the 4wd.
I also broke a rear pin on the truck. I do believe the pins are overhardened. Ive just replaced with stock parts. The arms seem to be strong enough at least.

The front end is quite strong now. One weak point I uncovered was the std motor mount: if the motor jolts heavilythe retaining flange on the cam can snap, causing the motor to come loose. This happened to me today at the Schumacher indoor series, even though I didn't have any particularly bad crashes. A bit of shambolic bodgery allowed me to keep racing and finish 2nd in the B final. I've now ordered the factory team upgrade which is made from a much less brittle aluminium.

Well five times raced now and still my breakage tally is one shock shaft. Diffs still feel good. Car felt great on friday, easy to drive fast.

I think anyone looking for a new four wheel drive car should take a look at one of these. And with the team edition out soon it is a great car for the money.:thumbsup:

I second that:thumbsup::thumbsup:, besides any car that can take the abuse I give must be strong:thumbsup::thumbsup:.

Whether you are using the standard or the option motor mount, you might want to take a little material off the outer part of the clamp. There needs to be a space there to properly 'clamp' the cam in place. In early testing we saw this and could have issues from a broken cam to stripping screws on the mount. Just touch the end with a dremel or some sand paper.

I have nose dived mine quite a few times with no broken parts. It's a very durable piece!!!

Any chance of a picture highlighting where nikos? I am just concerned that next week Chris will turn up with a very wobbly motor due to dremel abuse. :D

It will be where the flange on the cam overlaps with the main mount. Now that the problem is highlighted, the detatched flange could be down to not properly clamping the cam in place
