I had the A-Arm as replace part, but not the Pin.....
But now i ordered them, hope they will come before christmas

Unlucky, how did you manage that?

steve73 19-12-2010 11:50 AM

I was in front of sand bucket (race track boundary) after a jump and just want to wait until the others are gone, but then there came a big short course.....

Damn, not good, hopefully you got a good run in before it happened.

If you're careful, the pin can be straightened and used until you get a new one. I take a small vise/anvil to the track and some of the racers use it to hammer the pins straight for reuse. Just FYI.

steve73 20-12-2010 07:45 AM

Thanks, we talked about the possibility to hammer it, but on the race we didn't get it out of the A-Arm, at home i did it with a big gripper.
The race before was very nice, i got a lot of tips for my setup from the other racers (different springs, correction of the steering, different fix points dor the dampers, etc.) very hopeful for me and my first drive

Status of the replacement parts order: Shipped!

captainlip 20-12-2010 05:16 PM

MB models by any chance?

what tips where you given regarding springs and setup and steering? my car is currently stock and only ran 5 laps so far

steve73 22-12-2010 08:52 AM

For the springs i changed for the hall racing to dark green (front) and pink (rear).
Steering i just make the maximum to 90% at the RC control
What i have to to next is changing the oil to 20 WT or 25 WT.

Big G 22-12-2010 08:58 AM

I ran 25/20 in mine with standard pistons and it seems to be ok. it felt like too much body roll on high grip carpet though.

steve73 22-12-2010 09:04 AM

Are you driving with Anti Roll bar?
Which one?

captainlip 22-12-2010 02:56 PM

Pink? I cant see the pink on the chart?

What other setup tips where you given?

steve73 06-03-2011 02:14 PM

So here are my Tresrey parts from my Japan journey.
But Servo Arm was not available....

Any chance you can give a detailed account of the fitting of the Tresrey rear hubs? I have just bought a pair and need to know how to dremel the rear arm whilst still having enough adjustment. Is that a tresrey chassis in the hauler?
:p

steve73 06-03-2011 08:18 PM

You know this Link: http://tresreyblog.com/?eid=218

Chassis is from www.8-Racing.de

EddyStowaway 06-03-2011 10:05 PM

Thanks Steve, ill try and work the diagram out. Just dont want to mess it up.

captainlip 07-03-2011 06:14 PM

what tips do you suggest with roll bars? do you use any? front, rear or both?

steve73 07-03-2011 06:41 PM

Both!
I tried without roll bars in the hall, not possible to drive for me......

Thargor 09-03-2011 07:59 PM

your bodyshell is awesome......

AndyF 09-03-2011 11:55 PM

That's not an RC car, it is a work of art!

I haven't raced since I was a kid 20 years ago but found this forum and have been lingering for a few months. I still have my procat!

The engineering and attention to detail is just superb, this is what should be winning the turner prize!!
