Just put down F5, that is the default for people who have not completed regionals / nationals. Once you have done an event or two they will move you in to a more representative heat position based on your results.

No need to be a member of any club, just the BRCA. If your going to join a west mids club I'd suggest Kidderminster as it's an awesome track to be associated with but there are plenty of clubs in the mid south region which is technically where you live.

Just a quick question regarding tyres.

I have purchased and built my B4.1 and now really looking forward to racing off road after a 20 year absence (family/kids Tamiya F1 racing and TC).

Is there any shop that sales the tyres pre glued to wheels for the B4.1

Looking for the schummacher mini spikes in both green and yellow compounds.

If no shop with pre built then what inserts do you guys recommend, soft medium or hard.

Also I have a Tekin RS Pro fitted and will be running the 8.5 Redline motor. Do any of you guys have a base setting to start with for the RS Pro.

All help very much appreciated.

Cheers

Mark

I think the preglued rears from schumacher should work ok but not sure if the cougar fronts would fit (might be metric bearings rather than old money)

As for inserts a lot of people use Mr O mediums (44mm in the rear, 40mm in the front of 4wd and "4wd" fronts in 2wd .. 2wd fronts I don't think exist but could be wrong).

As for the Tekin stuff I'm not sure but if you PM somebody like DCM / Kev Lee they might be able to help.

i wasn't aware that kiddermnster had a membership base as they dont run any club meetings only regionals and a joint winter series.

I will be bringing my shop to at least the Coventry rounds of the MAM, I usually carry yellow and green mini spikes and lots of other parts in stock, or let me know if you need me to bring anything before the meeting so i can bring it with me, cheers Eric

Myself and Ian Purnell are also Kidderminster members, if you want to use their track for testing or practice you have to be a member.

Which work better on the front, the slim yellow mini spikes or the 4wd fronts?

Also Minispike 2, are those better?

Thanks

RogerM 27-09-2010 08:26 AM

Most people run the slim minispikes on the front of a 2wd car, green schumacher slims with BB rears work well at both tracks in damper conditions, schumacher yellow minispikes all round when dry.

Minispike 2 vs minispike, I've not noticed any difference other than the minispike 2 seems to be better made (not had one split yet).

Hope that helps.
