It lives! Took it out tonight, just in time for the last race of the evening. Overall, very encouraging. Lots of things to be fixed in setup, and I may have to unreverse the rear wishbones (a rearward landing twice popped a driveshaft) and shorten the chassis some, but it went better than it ever did as a 4wd on the same track (it was usually a nightmare).

Jumping was amazing - just release the throttle at the top of the ramp and it sailed straight and true.
