If I was Schumacher I'd get RW to make them in the first place, but hey ho.

RW all the way , RW make many optional and standard parts for some Schumacher Cars.
RW make in the range of 35-40 thousands pinions every year, and make in the region of 30 thousand spurs. They are no 1 one it comes to gear cutting.
I'm sure they are already on the case with Schumacher option parts, as these are made in good old british enginnering standards

I've run a new CAT SX 2 CF at four indoor meetings and since day 1 I've noticed the gears are quite noisy, especially under initial accelleration torque. At first I thought it was the pinion mesh so bought new RW spur and pinion - no improvment. Then I discovered that there is a high spot where the lay and idler gears clearly bind as I slowly turn the wheels with the motor pinion off. My belts are not too tight. On further investigation I found that if I loosen the slipper clutch lock nut right off (behind the spring) then the high spot goes and the gears seem to run smooth and straight. Tighten it back up and I can see a slight wobble on the metal lay shaft gear. This was the case out of the box, I've double checked the assembly and axle greased the gears before even the first run. Amazingly thought, I haven't stripped any gears and I'm running a pretty powerful 6.5 / 40C lipo setup on high grip tracks. I'm thinking this must be bearings? I might try changing them. Does anyone know where I could get high quality replacements?

may be down to a dodgey bearing or a slightly bent layshaft maybe ?
i had the same problem when i first brought my but it runs awsome now :)
