The front arm piece is shiny :) are all the option parts going on one truck and you are building the other standard? or is it just for parts?

Thomas P 02-06-2010 09:00 PM

the other is a sparepart truck :D

Thomas P 03-06-2010 03:51 PM

truck is almost done...not sure about the Losi "truck shocks" anymore...they are real long.. when chassi flats out, i have no more compression on the shocks at all :(...

I use 1.2 house in the rear and same shafts, planing to go down to 1.0 shafts

front i use 0.9 and same shafts and they are way to long...im suing 4mm limiters and now i have a descent down travel..but chassi bearly flat out in the front when shocks are fully compressed...

Any tip? or other shocks ?

kedal 03-06-2010 04:56 PM

I have same problem with the rear shock on my buggy. Don't know the size, but its for buggy.
There are also limiter in the body... maybe if we use shorter shaft, that will work all good. I have to buy new shaft, I'll think about this.

Looking real nice... :D

Are you going to be able to fit the slipper cover...looks tight against that ball cup, did you say they were Losi ?...

Granted with a cool slipper disk like that you might not want to cover it hehe

I have replaced the stock rear springs with longer ones, which are even progressive springs.

Thomas P 04-06-2010 06:02 AM

Kaylon, yes they are losi..i think il giveém a try :D...even if the front are almost to long, they work, hope they will do it ok :)

tomorrow, it will be el install...do we want it clean ?

ben44 04-06-2010 07:56 AM

Very nice, the slipper is paint or it's a steakers?

Thomas P 04-06-2010 01:12 PM

Ben, it is a sticker =). Anyone have a descent setup tip? astro, high grip BUMPY!!

Thomas P 04-06-2010 03:22 PM

SO, all electrics are installed..il be testing the Losi shocks anyway..if they work il stick to them, i finshed the stock plastic ones, they feel absolutly perfect, but for how long?...hope testday will be sunday morning...

kaylon 04-06-2010 04:37 PM

If you like the standard plastic shocks then you will love these... Master Smacker Shocks...

I'm very impressed with them. I think they are the ones they show in all the photos actually...but don't get. They are better then some full alloy ones I've used and are only £9 for all 4!!

Really nice backup or bashing shocks...The caps are alloy and I have yet to have one pop off, if anyone wants to upgrade from the standard plastic mad rat shocks and not spend a fortune then these are the ones to go for...

Thanks mate, il give the losi a shot..if they do not want what i want il giveém a try...AE springs fits perfect :) any idea if AE T4 will be a go?

kaylon 04-06-2010 05:06 PM

The Ansmann X-Pro shocks are excellent btw... £50 for the full set with springs, or about £36 without springs.

A T4, which I assume you mean a Truggy version of the X4... is not in the 2010 catalogue...

But now that you have mentioned it I think I might grab a Blizzard and do a Truggy conversion for some quality bashing, can't be that hard. Would need to make a new front shock tower, probably use the Royal Flash (larger) shocks and get some nice 2.2 or 2.8 truck wheels and a Proline crowed pleaser 2 shell... job done, great idea :D

No, thomas means RC10T4, truck version of the B4 :)

I think the shocks fit, but give losi shocks a chance :)

Thomas P 04-06-2010 06:52 PM

Kedal, il do that, but i know they are a few mm shorter :)

nicefrog 05-06-2010 05:12 AM

Thomas the Team C truck shocks are awesome you should just get those, they are pretty expensive I guess, but they are just as good as the Associated shocks or Losi's and they would both cost more. You might realise like I did it's just more sensible to buy the whole truck from rcmart

Here's the front shocks for the truck

And rear truck shocks

Thomas P 05-06-2010 06:22 AM

Il give the losi a try, if they do not work as i want, il go for thoose you linked to :), but i noticed the new AE v2 shocks are only 6$ more per set...have to think :D, have to resolder the minus cable, then i think we have a lift off :)

Thomas P 05-06-2010 12:57 PM

So, will use my rtr lid, untill my other is "race collor painted"...
