My source is a former Losi employee who still has contacts there... And I disagree, no one said the tamiya would swap the gearbox, nor did the D2. The durango is all speculation, from what I've seen the mid and the rear cars are two distincts cars, not the same with swapped out gearboxes.

He also said they made a beefed-up XX4 in the time he worked there, but it'll never make it to production.
