The US epidemic

Here in Las Vegas USA, the SCT market has been the choice for new, old school and young Racers, even the buggy racers are buying SCT' and racing it instead of their 2 and 4WD buggies. My local indoor track has 7 different SCT race classes, and one buggy class (2WD and 4WD) where all buggies race together. The SCT is like an epidemic here, grown and has took over the offroad race scene at our indoor and outdoor tracks. I'm done.

"if you keep buying them, the manufacturers will keep building them" ;)

12th electric started in about 1975 on this side of the pond - is that the "first electric class you are referring too?!!! ;)

come one , you're picking-nits now..........notice the used of the word "about" to preface the number of years, so in other words I wasn't trying to be precise ...........that, and this thread was about dirt racing anyway, and not 12th scale ;)

oh, and what 1/12th scale rigs were you guys running in 1975????
since the RC12E didn't come out until '78

Trucks always have been more popular in the States (even looking at 1:1 vehicle sales), whereas buggies for whatever reason have always been more popular in Europe. Doesn't make one or the other better, just a difference in culture preferences. ;)
