can you not put anything across the lipo or under the shaft to stop it happening if the pin comes out?
or fit the steel bearing rings i showed in the durango thread.. |
I think the new 2mm drive shafts that are coming out soon, have something that should stop the pin coming out.
|
You coud put a penny under the battery strap beneath the shaft or use the outer casing of a bearing
|
Yeah I'm gonna get some heatshrink, and put some over the cvd just the extra bit of safety now. :)
Thanks Rob. ;) |

When it first went up, I'm sure the smoke could be seen from space!!!!:woot:
Regarding the car..... All it did was melt through the battery strap. The CVD prop joint was WELL chard. But a quick clean up and a new drive pin from Mr waters, and I was on track for the next round. Oh, and some quick action from Wraggy.:D I ended up doublesided taping my final Lipo in to the car and then holding it down with cell tape. It was solid and didn't move a millimetre. As I said before. Any car with plastic or Carbon chassis would have been buggered, the heat was pretty high. I'm glad Durango built a car with an alloy chassis!! |
from from the fist photo it looks like someones walet got burnt out....not the 1st in rc:lol:
|
Think that could have been my wallet!!!!:woot::confused::(
