Yep so if everyone runs in a 2wd heat & a 4wd heat then no advantage gained.. :woot:

N7ELA 21-04-2010 07:54 PM

There is no argument It's allowed.

People have previously been allowed to run a truck class and double up their track time.

An extra 4wd heat has previously not been allowed on grass tracks where it rips the track up faster or when the 4wd regional has been run the next day.

In this instance there is no reason not to run one.

Their is no unfair advantage to running 4wd or not as Bately is a permanent track

Plus it will be more money for the club. Everyones a winner.

:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:.

I can see no reason why a non regional heat can not be run as long as there are enough entrants to cover marshalling.

Practice will be open/free (NOT in heat order) as soon as the track is ready and you have booked in.

wow, great idea, not sure the organisers are going to be too happy running 5 x 2wd and 5 x 4wd heats to fit everyone in ....... :woot:

Well it's upto them but I'm all for it and I'm sure the extra entry fees would be good for the club.

you're right jeff  all good, might even take my 4wd down - but I wish I had a pound for every complaint I've listened to about this over the last 20 years :bored:

Peter I think you are supposed to classify the heats in F rating order So F2 drivers aren't struggling to pass F5 drivers every 2 laps.

:)

chris68nufc 22-04-2010 05:09 PM

Definatley, especially7 the 1st regional of the season??

it is done by f grade although it has been pointed out that 2 peoples f grades were incorrect on the list I had.

The whole idea behind running practice in heat order is that there's a few quick drivers who don't go to every regional this means there only an f5 thus ending up in a low heat, if there's anyone in practice who is significantly faster than everyone else they can then be reseeded into a different heat.

Good answer.

Wish i was there for the 1st speach!!

Where are all of the regulars gone?

There must be 20 people missing that would normally race at Batley.
Wish i could make it there.:(

Not really a good idea though as people always push harder, try different racing lines and generally mess about in practise not to mention the people who dont use a bug.

I could crash every lap of practise and then when the first heat starts be alot quicker each lap.

Peoples correct F ratings are displayed on the BRCA north east website.
