Thomas how did you solder new wires to the Mongoose motor? Thanks

Thomas P 20-05-2010 05:17 PM

Hi J, i have cut them only 2-2.5mm from rear end of can..and just taken of the protection yellow, orange and blu silicon"cable..so only the cables are out, as short solder tabs..so i can se the collor, still "inside" the holes where the cables are in..

not sure if it can be seen here?

well done thomas. I did that same thing to mine a long time ago, as it's basically "straight-wiring" the motor ... and so as to eliminate the extra 9 connections of the motor bullet plugs that have a propensity for failure, and poor connections which hinder operation and performance

Ah so that's how you did it. Look great. I ought to do it but I haven't had any issues yet/

Thomas P 21-05-2010 04:27 AM

J, i have no issiues with the old cables at all, i do nuót just lie that concept..i want to solder my own :)

Tapered pistons for 3racing shocks..

Thomas P 22-05-2010 02:42 PM

6 packs today...the tires where SICK grippy...need to cut them...

Tapered pistons, i changed back, cus i used wrong oil, and they were not identical drilled as the other i use...But there is not much to say, this car, is a mean one, it is fast and it takes most of the bad bumps on our big track...
