Most regionals have a control tyre, but the SE has not had one to encourage all levels of the racer.
This track for Sunday is mostly dirt, so if we have to buy a special tyre for this 1 track it might put alot of people off.
Now I am not saying there is a control tyre for this weekend, Steve Brooke will be better to answer this.
I have a big box of tyres left from the Euro's 2 years ago, so what ever tyre we are allowed to run I am prepared:thumbsup:

This will give address and direction details, tyre details (simply, it was suggested and agreed at the Regional meeting by ALL clubs to have a tyre rule for the KMRC venue, to reduce the need for speciality tyres and the related costs!) but basically it will be Schumachers or Ballistics.

We've tested Schumachers against US tyres and the Schumachers were just as, if not a little better!
Though dirt the surface is a little strange in that it is a little loose loam covering a soft, compacted dirt. The rallycross drivers mostly run a fairly hard compound tyre. Both greens and yellows have been found to work.

why does no-one ever answer my questions?

There has been recent discussion re. the format of the class structure at this years Regionals and the incorporation of the SCT/Truck class into the Region.

2010 BRCA SE Regional events will now take the following formats:

2WD Regionals + Open Class (for 4WD buggies ) + SCT/Truck Class (for 2WD SCT/Trucks ONLY, scoring points towards ‘unofficial’ Regional Championship)

4WD Regionals + Open Class (for 2WD buggies + SCT/Truck Class, should any want to PRACTICE ONLY)

As previous years ALL classes will be run to BRCA Modified Rules (both brushed & brushless motors allowed). There is no provision for Stock Motors, other than running in the non-points scoring Open Class.

This is different to the format that was discussed at the Regional meeting and publicised above.

Equally different is that, should they want to, drivers WILL now be allowed to compete in more than one class at these events.

There are many reasons for these changes which include: the increase in popularity of the SCT/Truck class and it therefore being aligned to both it’s comparable class and also that class which has fewer drivers thereby allowing clubs the time to incorporate the additional heats; there are very limited numbers of drivers that want to do more than one class on any one day and most of them are too quick for there to be an impact on the remainder of us, however much track time they have; allowing additional classes and multiple classes will potentially increase the revenue to clubs, always a good thing, especially to those that are in an embryonic state! And this is, I believe, how other Regions, that are incorporating SCT/Trucks into their areas, are now running their events.

This proposal has been discussed and agreed by ALL participating clubs: FORCC; EPR; Plough Raceway and KMRC and indeed the section PRO.

finally a clear answer as to the short course/stadium truck situation. thanks steve for clearing that up.

One needs to be patient, remember we do our BRCA stuff for free, so don't allways have time to do things people want.
Steve is doing a thankless job, and we all should be appreciative!!!

I am a Belgian Driver (dutch-speaking) with an official Belgian Racing licence (rookie).
Could I come over and compeed in one or more of your races with my 2WD car?

If so, how should I manage for registering/paying in advance?
Should I register for any particlar category?

I there the possibility to camp at the site with a little tent? (I would come over by motorbike) I was considering of comming over for the EPR-race and/or KMRC
