I AM still special!
BTW: Tamiya has been using 3mm diff balls since the days of the Rothmans 959 and Avante. What's all this talk about bigger balls? The avante, vanquish and avante 2001 used geared diffs, not ball diffs, the egress used 3mm diff balls:p |
Might order a few of the Xenon 1004 boxes next week :)
I use Edit ones now but i cant find the one I use in stock anywhere. The Xenon 1004 is a simalar size. |
Having larger DIFFballs means larger area that have contact with the rings and less pressure is necessary. Much like wider tyres on a car.

Your forgetting the center ball diff that was standard on the Avante, Avante 2001 & Vanquish... ;)
no, I didn't, the thread is about a review of diff balls, not centre diff balls :p:lol:, they were 3mm though;) |

Only if you bought them :p

Come on!
This thread is about the new TRF site, not Tamiya model history. |
Good call Fred!!! Where can i get your covers for the 511 please?(as seen on trfracing.co.uk)
|
I found the ghost rc review useful and will be servicing my cat sx and xxcr diffs in the coming weeks with these.
Thank you Mr Martin :) |
Just send me a PM:)
|
Thanks mikey and Fred.
See even non tamiya guys are loving the info! |
Those are some nice looking balls.. I happen to use Wurks Ceramics, but good info. Nice to see somebody doing something for TRF in the UK, many passionate Tamiya fans live there.
