Sorry to hijack the thread guys, but does anyone know the release date for the SX2?

Cheers
Terry

Can't be long as a number of the parts are avaliable to buy on the Schumacher site. Good for us Cat SX owners :)

My Cat SX2 wishbones arrived today :)

I think it's end of March is their target date.

Modelsport have the kit ones listed as 31/3/2010

Chunkier and have the rear mounting holes for shocks on the rear.

Haven't fitted them yet as I want to run med flex tomorrow I think.

Seems as if cats break in the same way all over the world:cry:

I ordered the med front wishbones too and they haven't arrived yet, can you guys say a little prayer so they don't break on me during tommorows race:D

I have only broken my wishbones twice. Once on a hidden log at my other half's fathers house.

2nd time on the corner table top at Petit. Wall 1 - cat 0

I think it's a good solid car.

It is a solid car, but even Achilles had his weak heel.

Does anyone no the difference between the std cat chassis and the new cat sx 2? looking at upgrading my chassis to the stiff one but wanted to find out what the difference is.

mw02veg 07-03-2010 07:57 PM

The chassis from the Sx has no lipo cut outs,on the Sx2 there are.

The new chassis have more cut outs to give the chassis more flex.

The photo is shown the SX2 S1 chassis I guess the Carbon SX2 chassis look like this. Somebody can confirm this?

SX2 and saddle LIPOs

I need to mount saddle Lipos (end to end) in a CAT SX2.
I don't see any holes in the SX2 S1 chassis for the Atomic Carbon Lipo retainer and there's no picture of the SX2 CF chassis on the Schumacher website yet (I assume its the same design?)....
I don't want to use the 'glue-on' Lipo retainers because I use the same cells in a 2WD.

Any ideas?

Thanks

You can still fit the Nortech lipo retainer you just need to drill a 3mm hole or two to secure it. And countersink the holes in the chassis.

Same as what my mate has done with the current S1 LIPO humps chassis. No probs at all
