Bought a landy shell

The latest ones he's selling come unpainted which is a bonus.

I painted up my old blackfoot a while ago and it looked really cool for 5 minutes until I strapped the 3cell lipo and mamba max in the thing - instantly smashed the shell.

Kinda a beat up old truck - I think I'll do something similar with the landy - something that looks like an old heap of junk perhaps. Be a while before I have a truck to put it on tho

nice Jimmy,i bought one from RC4WD and the are very nice,i bought the re released yota body,it looked really good,i had it about 3 weeks and sold it:woot:,still think the best SCALE truck is the Tamiya Pajero, truck puller motor,do the rear arms and cut every other nobble off on the std tyres and they will go places you would think not possible:thumbsup:

I will be spraying one of them 'bad boy' Axial shells soon, you really don't want to ask how much they are though

Are you talking about the metal top wide? I had a bit of a thing for those back when they were unavailable a few years back (about 9) - did they re-release them? I know the Jeep is back out but I don't recall the Pajero.

I do NEED one of these rc4wd things tho - I mean, I neeeeeeeeeeeeeed it. :woot:

Yeah Tamiya ReRe'd the Pajero, it was £140ish for the kit, but they've been discontinued again. But you can get the same chassis with an FJ Landcruiser though.

I'd get some Trail Doctor tyres: http://www.sdi4x4.com/

And if you want ultimate mud plugging...

The Pajero was rereleased in 2008 as a limited edition, there's still plenty of them about in Hong Kong and pretty cheap. http://www.stellamodels.net/catalog/...oducts_id=3690

A year ago they released a prebuilt and painted XB RTR version, plenty of them to be found on ebay.

As for the Land Rover, it does sound weird that RC4WD has built a whole chassis around a toy LR body, but that's what they have done. if you are into scale stuff then the place to look is scale4x4.org. There's a short review of the Gelande chassis and LR body here http://www.scale4x4rc.org/forums/showthread.php?t=44901 (he's gone a bit overboard with the photos though!)
