If that was said I wouldn't touch there products again as a matter of principle. Think it time for you to go BLUE and get LRP with lifetime warrentys.

i have brian never had a prob with lrp or nosram so thats wot ive bought two telling customers to go away (verbally) by a company rep is not a way to deal with a problem to be honest the mudfish team have bought novak units everyone has failed so five outa five aint bad is it:D

Whilst the LRP warranty is the best out there, it still has conditions that need to be followed.

All products from LRP electronic (hereinafter called “LRP”) are manufactured according to the highest
quality standards. LRP guarantees this product to be free from defects in materials or workmanship for 90
days (non-european countris only) from the original date of purchase verified by sales receipt. This limited
warranty doesn’t cover defects, which are a result of normal wear, misuse or improper maintenance. This
applies among other things on:
• Cut off original power plug or not using reverse polarity protected plugs
• Receiver wire and/or switch wire damaged
• Mechanical damage of the case
• Humidity/Water inside the speed control
• Mechanical damage of electronical components/PCB
• Soldered on the PCB (except on external solder-tabs)
• Connected speed-control with reversed polarity

it was bought from a uk ebayer and it does say water resistant on the box so i think water damage should covered or its a blatent case of false advertising so why make claims of a products performance then abuse the customer:(

irrespective of country of purchase if i buy a car from ford and it breaks down in spain or france the dealer should repair it if its a warranty claim the same rule applies here i wont be purchasing any cml products again after there expert customer care tactics i will buy from abroad bits for my b4 :D

I'm surprised it says waterproof on the box as I've never seen it in any of there literature, that's weird!

BERT: Would you have prefered CML to have asked you to send the unit back (at your cost) then send it back to Novak for them to look at then when they come back weeks later and say "warrenty is void because it's got wet" OR CML rep says "TBH your novak warrenty is void as it's got wet" saving you weeks or even months of sitting on your thumbs with no speedo ???

The reps know there suppliers and know what they will or will not replace. And it's not exactly CML's policy that has stung you. I think boycotting CML is a bit of an over reaction really. I know a guy at our club who had a Checkpoint motor replaced recently because the bearing holder in the enbell was faulty, they replaced the whole motor, no messing.

its not the first occasion this has happened to my knowledge two previous occasions not myself where novak products have failed and customers being told where to go. one being a friend of mine and another being a midwest driver who had to approach trading standards to solve the issue i am not prepared to go that far as i have no faith in the product and to be told to f off was not professional i konw it was out of work hours so i will not say who it was but if i told my customers to go away even out of time i would be not giving a good impression this is not a whinge but other companys will at least be courtious:(

Chances are that it didn't come from CML in that case.
All warranty returns need to be accompanied with proof of purchase from an authorised CML dealer.

it was bought within the uk but original supplier not known as it was bought off a member of this site but as a authorised dealer a simple sorry mate you got to contact novak direct would have sufficed.i have no gripe with lhs you are as much victims as the punters nosram or lrp dont do this and cheers dom you where right when asked you.

i hardly think you got abused !!!! so a slight if not over exageration on your behalf ... (i know abuse i get every weekend).

and i cant see how an electronic piece of equipment is being advertised as "water resistant" ....

bigred5765 25-05-2007 10:23 AM

almost all last years quantum2 and nosrams etc were all water proof, and it does say water resistant on the box of novaks

markwilliamson2001 25-05-2007 10:53 AM

Weather Report!

Looks like the weather might be pretty bad this weekend! What happens in case of the track being flooded on the Sunday? Would this mean the meeting have to be re-scheduled?
