sorry mis read post thought you were racing on a different race track it may not be tyres that caused you to crash however you still stacked it and thats the way it goes the bearing may be somthing to do with lack of oil and maintance

Talking of the parts you've broken - as the others have said, those are the early type diff outdrives, I use them in the front and have never broken any there, but have broken quite a few in the rear. Shock towers, probably only ever done 1. The top bullkhead - well, if you're breaking towers, then i guess it's not a huge surprise that the plastic tops are breaking.

Generally the Schumacher bearings are very very good, I really can't fault the ones that they are putting in the kits these days.

I seem to go through rear wheel bearings -Have destroyed at least 2 at the last race meeting and have 4 that are very gritty:confused:. I'm now trying aftermarket bearings with rubber seals on one side to see how it goes:thumbsup:.

Have also gone through a couple of front wheel bearings but they seem to stand up better.

Apart from bearings the only thing I broken is a front CF link. I feel the CAT is a pretty strong car considering I've been hacking the thing around and have had some very big stacks.:cry:

Compare this to my B4 - broken front and rear arms, rear chassis plate, bent drive shaft, wing mount etc etc. The only thing that seems stronger are the bearings compared to the CAT.;)

you run on dirt?

If you crack the front shocktower and/or the upper bulkhead, you probably crashed in a way that would break any car. I've only seen one shocktower go all season. The Cat seems pretty strong in that area.

The old type outdrives can break if you don't use uptravel limiters and put the diffs in the "low" position. I've used the old outdrives for about 6 months before I broke the rear outdrive at the Belgian GP. Since I replaced them with the new ones, I never had a problem again. Contact Schumacher and ask for a replacement.

I'm surprised you have so much problems with the kit bearings. They are pretty good (especially compared to 90'ies Schumacher bearings in my old CAT 2000 :D). I only had one rear wheel bearing go when I tested the arm/shock reverse kit. I'm guessing because of the extra stress on them caused by the increased driveshaft sweep. But those bearings were about half a year old and had already seen considerable abuse.
I even find the kit bearings more reliable then the ceramic option set I installed about 2 months ago. The ceramic bearings had less tolerance to dirt and have to be cleaned regularly.

Yes mate. Hard packed clay. All the tracks in Sydney are a similar challenge with dust and dirt.

Seems the factory bearings don't cope well. I'm not even sure cleaning the gritty ones is very satisfactory because it seems when I clean them they last 1 or 2 runs and are gritty again.

Reading some of the earlier posts - if I could get 6 months out of the bearings I would be thrilled but I think I'm never going to achieve this with the tracks over here.

before of this i have drive a pred for 3 years and nobody problem with ball bearings!the maintenance is the same.:thumbdown:

this morning i have write to schumacher, for the diff outdrives.
schumacher send me a full set of new outdrives with the new design, without any cost...:thumbsup:
