|
Agreed, had a laugh, ran the trf501 and the t4 lol.
Who was the peep in the pug 106 driving home very slowly in the outside lane lol.. own up lol... Col. :woot: |
Has it been decided yet if we can run mini pins on the carpet? Im tempted to run the madrat as well as the 501, but dont wont to purchase extra tyres if reqd.
Thanks. Col. |
doubt i can make it tonight, but i am looking into getting some foams that will work at the right price, but mini pins would be easyer and probably also mean more would turn up and race as most will have them and we all no they work,i really think the club are holding them self back in this one tbh imho

I agree though, its a nice size, mid week which is ideal. More racers need to be aware of this venue. Col. |
yeh i meant tomorrow
|
I agree with mini pins being the best option for us buggy racers - not sure I can be bothered messing about with foams :p
I should be there tomorrow with a few others from the 'Big Blue Tent' :woot: |
Apparently the "dirt-hawgs" should work reasonably well on 4wd, but only if well dosed with additive. Might be pants on 2wd.
Don't know if they allow the use of additive. |
Dirt hawgs, were tried very briefly, with no additive, and they were like slicks on carpet, no traction what so ever. I actually bought a set, then when i saw matts cat go around, asked if i could return them.
Additive was added to some of the other cars, but as your only covering the tread , it quickly comes off ( all over the carpet as well leaving big skid marks ). I tried my t4 for a laugh in the final, i put additive on, and it slid all over the show and then just wore off after 3 laps. I know the reason why they dont alloy mini pins, but do they really wear the carpet that much, Thanks Col. |
dirt hawgs were crap just didnt work no matter what you did and totally ruined racing
|
All tyres will be allowed until the new carpet comes, a lot of the lads will be running foams tomorrow.
We my not run now with a control tyre but instead let you run any tyre (not mini pins) The important thing is just to have a good nights racing. When we looked at the carpet on Friday it was starting to wear badly out of the corners. We now have our own forum in the club section, have a look at the form for the N.I.C.S |
