Here's mine, YungTong Lipos, Tekin RS sensored ESC and 6.5 motor, full size ace servo, MRT ptx transponder and sanwa 2.4gig receiver.

Hi Jimmy,

Have you run the Tekin RS before?
What do ppl think abut these
I've got one coming for my Durango too.

B44&501xRacerEX 12-09-2009 05:27 PM

Looks like he bit the bullet and got him one. Nice setup Jimmy.
Tekin esc's are so darn smooth, you'll like it.

Just finished painting it and took it out into the garden for some action shots. I didn't get to make the stickers yet but I didnt want to miss the nice sun light. I went back to my purple review paint scheme, but maybe with a little less purple (by accident)

It was TOTALLY covered in dust inside and out after this as you can imagine - a quick blow with the compressor and it's as good as new! Rubber covers are ace!

Looks awesome Jim :wub - your not a bad hand with the airbrush !

Are you racing it at Worksop ?

hi all, i'm from hong kong~
this is mine DEX410

jimmy 12-09-2009 05:58 PM

Haha, thanks rich, yeah I might be doing. We'll see :)
Batley tomorrow is its first outing.

Hey Derek, good choice for the ESC  What receiver are you using? I wish I was using a tiny Spektrum one, but the sanwa fits ok. I thought I might have to lay it on the side like you've done but it just fit with the ESC 90degrees round from how you have it.

There's actually a decent amount of room for electrics as long as you use your head and spend a bit of time on the install.

jimmy is your back garden the moon?

looks like a mrs oople colour scheme, is vicky star driving it?

jimmy 12-09-2009 06:16 PM

Haha, no I lied about the Garden bit - we drove out to a disused quarry for the photos. I wish I had such a proving ground in my garden! haha

No this is the old review colours all my cars had - I wouldn't let vicky drive this wonderous lovely buggy - not unless it was around a track made of foam.

Kifogrande 12-09-2009 06:27 PM

I'm loving that shell!

Car don't look too shabby either!

hi Jimmy, i'm using Futaba R603FS. you are right, it take me a bit of time to install all of these, it is really quite limit to choose the esc and receiver...
when i start to install the esc, i choose the LRP SXX TC, but i cannot manage the cable and it seem quite big becuase i'm using Futaba receiver....
anyway, thanks for your comment~

Ok, a question for y'all.

I've just wired mine up and I'm finding space very limited.

Running a nosram istc and spectrum micro receiver. Now, I'm struggling for somewhere to mount the transponder (standard size).
I've currently had to stand the receiver up and mount the transponder onto its belly.
So the transponder is stood upright.
Do they still work like this?

I can see I'm going to lose some sleep over this one. lol

jimmy 12-09-2009 09:56 PM

Don't lose too much sleep Tel!
http://www.oople.com/rc/photos/euros...n/OOP_2345.jpg

Martin Achter made a real carbon fibre case for his AMB PT - and he's got it sitting upright. He says he's had no problems with counting (we were actually discussing the cf case)

I've just printed some chrome stickers and stickered the car up now - man, this thing looks sexy as hell! I really want another one just to stick on a shelf :)
