USAFAIRCREW - the setups between what we run here in Canada and the US isn't going to work for these chaps. I've run both in the UK and over in NA and the setups are opposite. where we are running the lightest front spring to induce bodyroll and steering they are running the hardest front spring and rollbars to try and minimize that. The main difference is the track surfaces, Dirt compared to high traction astroturf and the tires they run on that surface.
Where we are running our cars near minimum weight they are centralizing low weight through the middle of the car again to manage grip roll and keep a low center of gravity.

Trust me the US setup doesn't work across the pond and vice versa.:woot:

It's a shame when threads like this turn into an X6 bashing thread,

A few obvious points:

You don't have to spend £ 70 on brass weights to make the car go well, as Phil said some drivers run a light car, if you don't want to shell out for these weights lead will do.

No parts for the X6 have been hard to get hold of, if they have been in the past this has been addressed by XFactory and DMS, the support for the car and parts is spot on!

The car wins races and is great to drive end of story.

Now back to the chassis!!

Is it a case of build you car on to the new chassis and run the normal set up or are any changes being made?

I don't run any brass weights and *gets crowbar out* managed to make the A final in 2wd at Blyth. I do have a lead plate under the servo and the speedo but they are pretty small bits of lead I got for free :)

Looking at the photos of Brian Kinwald's car from the nationals he is running the DDP Transmission brace but not the bottom T-brace. Looks like there is a lot of new flex options to try out. I'm looking forward to experimenting with these new setups choices.:thumbsup:

If you really want to play around with adjusting flex you can also put o-rings or fuel tubing under the motor support (between the chassis and support) and adjust the tension by loosening/tightening the mounting screws. Of course this only works with the tranny up a bit.

apart from roofing lead you can also use small round fishing weights, they take a 3mm self tapper in the hole nicely too! been creating a mid engine 2wd, needs 350 grams of lead to get to brca weight limit, have melted lead into a home made mould for some bits, cheap any easy to do. all you need is polyfilla or plaster and some plastesine. pinch some plastersine off the kids, press into the space you want the weight for, drop in tray, add plaster, pull out plastersine when dry, melt lead into hole and off you go
