Actually I will back track a little. The stock body in my opinion is better that a lot that is out there. I'm glad that Schumacher were brave and visionary. Although I still think it needed finessing before release.

I'm sorry i posted this now  After a cooling off period i'm not fused either sorry graham;) you could fit a billboard poster on each side, it makes the car look like an older 8th scale buggy and i don't like the front

I just love the names they come up with - they are so random!

I always thought Vaykal was some sort of limescale remover and I'm not sure what a Womoog is other than perhaps some sort of lesser known Australian marsupial.

I'm loving just how it changes the look of the car - from something svelte to somthing... well, not so svelte :woot:

It's a two bagger for me I'm afraid but hey, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and at least there's an option now.

I have to agree with you but only with other shells - this version for Cat SX looks really bad.

I usually love their shells. I got Tattego, Quracca and Vaykal for my cars, but this is just as ugly as the stock shell. Now you schumacher guys have two awful options.

the original is not wonderful....
but this is very ugly....:lol::cry:

I quite like the original, but then I'm boring...

James 20-08-2009 09:58 AM

Its very unpretty  , far too many pies..

I did look at if for a while though, wanting to like it but after a second glance, no i dont ..

Just hada new shell & undertray sprayed on the standard one and personally i reckon it looks the biz, some cats just look a lot better than others depending on if the scheme suits the shell ..

Another option would be cool though, maybe JC will do something

I had the Tateego on my TRF501 and loved it. Nice looking yet practical.

This is eye-insulting.

I quite like the original shell : modern yet with some good "old school" elements.

Looks ok with the right paintjob (and on another car).

Wow that is shocking... Azarashi have done some really nice shells but that isn't good!!
The Cat is proper slim and could do with a nice sleek shell, that's a right porker!!

Was excited that they've made a shell for the cat but ohhh my
How chunky are those side pods!!!

EDIT: Doesn't look too bad in the above pic actually haha

jimmy 20-08-2009 12:06 PM

definitely looks unflattering on the SX tho for some reason. Wont you phat lads do a shell?

It's your turn to make shell for Cat SX - I like your Zen shell on my X6 :D

Tom3012 20-08-2009 12:45 PM

Thats vile!! I usually like Azarshi shells but thats just wrong!!

Anyone else think it looks way out of scale and too big for the Cat??

I personally love the standard Cat shell... Kind of F1 like:thumbsup:

I asked J Concepts if they could / would make a shell for the cat... they replied "very busy, will be added to the long list of things to do"

sosidge 20-08-2009 12:59 PM

Bear in mind that this shell was made for the B-MAX4 and just happens to fit the SX. It's not a specific release.

BORMAC 20-08-2009 09:15 PM

The whole appeal of the original SX shell is its 'lean-ness'. It took only a short while to appreciate this shell and seeing the car in action only confirms how cool the Schumacher styling is. Much like the original XL/ XLS shell.
Now I like Azarashi shells but this turns the Cat into 'FAT CAT'. In the infamous words of Borat- 'I NO LIKE THIS ONE'.

BORMAC 20-08-2009 09:19 PM

The Azarashi shell looks great on the 501 though

Can you do me a favour Jason, can you measure the width of that body on your Tamiya from the big "M" on the Tamiya sticker on the lower side pod across to the other side of the body?

I need to know if the back half of the body or undertray are at least 140mm wide.
