Congratulations to all the winners
2wd: Simon Bettens
4wd: Richard Lowe
Truck: Tom Cockerill

Good job of Steven Verelst to making the B-main.

Thanks to all of the event organizers and all the drivers to make it into an awesome event

Made the C-final myself, but considering the car I was running that wasn't that bad ;)

Hope to see you all again next year, had a very good time.

Janus = legend

Thanks simon for your awsome 4th qualifier, secured my 2nd place on the grid :-) Oh and thanks stefan for the very clean finals

And Igor, you lost our bet!

GRIFF55 06-07-2009 05:30 PM

Thankyou all involved for a great week!!!! Simon for the redbull to get me home and Janus for stabbing somebody to get my transmitter:lol:

You all get a big Thumbs and Two maybe three fingers up from me:woot::lol:

As appointed UK Team Manager I was very proud of the Brits both on and off the track and I made many new friends :D

All the lads performed well and well done to Simon who was a class act in 2wd. Lowey was also special in 4wd and having made the B main I marshalled the top boys and he showed some experience and driving excellence to bring it home so well done mate!!

Matty white also done very well both days and TQ'd the dance tent Sat night. Reevsy TQ'd the rostrum every day with his relentless practice schedule and Cockers was just blundering around mainly looking stupid and being a shoe goo menace :o
Showtime TQ'd the breakages and also the drinking Friday night! Never seen him soooooo drunk before and he amused most people on sat with his snooring as he slept in the pitting area. (pics and video to follow)

I could go on for ever as there were many moments of pure comedy gold but I think this was one of the weeks top highlights, enjoy.

OldTimer 06-07-2009 06:41 PM

As above, it was a great meeting again with many funny moments  and people.

But two GP's in a week it was busy for Harris & Griff ;) video of the 2nd GP coming very very soon

Just back absolutly shattered, was great though. Flanders you were an amazing motivational speaker and brought the T to team. Tom, that crash whilst videoing was pure comic genius timing.

Was gutted to be BQ but checking out leg 1 and then two amazing races, leg 2 from ninth to second and leg 3 a race long battle with Lowey almost made is better than being in the A. Also a couple of quality races with Stefan in truck, the driving throughout the whole event was a very high standard and very clean indeed!!!

The Belgium organisers are so good though, and the event so much fun. The only bad thing for me was if anyone finds my "lost" PT in their stuff PLEASE let me know, the number is 5078474.

GRIFF55 06-07-2009 06:46 PM

Have to say that the team effort in that heavy downpour was amazing. Great atmosphere and we all pulled together well to get all cars sorted for it. Thanks all!

Good event, but a few things made it less enjoyable than previous years for me. I owe it to Willy to email him my thoughts rather than spill them out here, but the forum IS the place to talk about stolen property so here goes:

Things being blatantly stolen from the pits by fellow racers put a real downer on things (if anyone noticed the sign I made, it was written tongue in cheek just to let the theif know we were watching).

Dan = PT
Griff = Pair of tires
Cockerill = Green toolbox full of one ways, pulleys, Losi shocks
Lowe = Brush (from the floor behind Dan)
Me = a faulty fan (from the floor behind Dan, layed as a trap - but it still went without us spotting who took it.)

I say stolen by racers, as who else would know what a PT is, or how useful the stuff Tom had is?

Thanks to the Brits and the Belgians for being great sportsmen and making the event happen and be enjoyable.

Chrislong 06-07-2009 07:29 PM

Infact, Tom had to GLUE a load of stuff down - unfortunately the stuff he glued down was Raceys!!!! ha ha

What makes it even more stupid that at the table where I sat, not even 2 meters from the Brits, we were even gullible enough to leave the soldering iron and power supplies trackside at night :wtf:

Richard Lowe 06-07-2009 08:00 PM

What a week, what an event

Thanks to everyone at the club and everyone that helped run the meeting, well done :)

Special thanks to -
Janus for all the help through the event, you stagger-rib dremel legend!
Elvo, chief pizza translator - Goosebumps baby!
Flanders, you're the b******s mush
JC, AC diff balls are the best ever!
Chris Long, BEEPING!
Captain Understeer, for not suffocating me when I was snoring
And the rest of the UK team, the way everyone was there to help each other was awesome. Especially Tom 'UK Legend... Snap' Cockerill sorting everyone out with BB's on Sunday and generally helping us all out.
JConcepts, for the best 4wd car ever

Well done to Simon for the 2wd win, nobody would have caught you the way you were driving that day!

Cockerill 06-07-2009 08:07 PM

Great Track, Great Venue, Great People, Great Week.

Half of me wishes I camped so I could have seen Matt White's TQ run on the Sat night, and Showtime getting a little worse for wear on Fri Night.

Flander's, I was just keeping your stuff safe by gluing it down :D

MattW 06-07-2009 08:11 PM

Think we had a proper TQ run home last night, got back to Si's just after 10, and I was back to mine before midnight - that's a proper record that's going to be hard to beat.

First time i'd seen the practice vid - top work, pure comedy timing!!

Sat night was very funny, think that's probably the shortest time i've ever seen anyone thrown out of a gaff, and proper good work to get back in so quickly. You know who you are!

Showtime all day Saturday, top work, although we heard noises from our tent that i really didn't want to hear - let's just say it was a good job that i wasn't eating at the time.

Smaller GB camping crew this year, clearly going for quality over quantity this time round. The Danes were still in full effect, just as we know they always are. Sleep is always a little hard to come by though.

and Flanders, your motivational speech's really are the thing of legend - top work man.
