Okey just as I thought too...Just wanted to make it sure. Thank you for all the answers! Now I have sold my MiniZilla and have enough money to buy a Dark Impact. So maybe at the end of the week I'm going to order a DI from Rcmart:)

Can somebody help me find tires for use on asphalt for the DI? I would like to have som good street tires too for my coming DI.

DCM 09-03-2007 09:48 PM

the kit tyres are good for ripping up the road

Now the Dark Impact is ordered from RCmart.:) . Can't wait to get it and start to build it! I also ordered a Slipper Clutch set, some spare gears and a M.Troniks Viper Tempo11 ESC:)

Hey all

Is the DI any good as I want a cheap buggy but it looks as though it only takes stick packs :(

tobbe 31-03-2007 11:45 AM

Now I have got my Dark Impact:) . I can just say that Wow! This buggy is cool! I love it! Here are 2 pics of it. I haven't painted the body yet thought...And the pics are taken with a cellphone so the qualit isn't any good...

Now I need to know a good motor for this buggy. Brushed and Not under 11 turns. The Nosram Vision 14x2 motor doesn't have enough power to impress me...So any ideas of a new motor?

Get a Checkpoint in there. I know they do a 10x2 off road motor but I think they also do a 12x2. One of my mates borrowed my DF-03 for racing at Canterbury on monday, he stuck a 19 turn Checkpoint in and proceeded to rag the car round the track during practice until it was virtually flat (running a 4900mAh Trakpower lithium!!) and the motor was still nice and cool. Very powerful motor as well.

Need new shocks for my DI! The stock shocks are horrible!! I use 55WT with the 1 hole piston and still, it feels very bouncy and the bottom hits the ground after just small jumps! So I need new shocks. But the Tamiya option shocks are so expensive and B4 shocks also. So I need some cheaper ones. What do you guys think about the 3Racing shocks for DI?

Wait a sec...Plastic?! The outdrives on my DI were steel:o

DCM 08-04-2007 11:47 AM

the rear outdrives are a plastic and metal mix, the actual part that the driveshaft goes in, is metal, the part that the diff plate sits on, is plastic, and it is that part that isn't up to the job.

Oh okey I almost thought my DI had some updates from earlier DI's:rolleyes:
