Won't that affect the performance? I other words, will the Durango meet the abilities the prototype had?

This isn't correct - the car you see is the car you get.

400eur = 345.961 GBP

About what I expected really.
Wasn't going to be cheap with the quality. :)

burgie 02-06-2009 12:04 PM

worryingly, that's about £50.00 cheaper than an X11-08.

GRIFF55 02-06-2009 01:00 PM

GRIFF55 02-06-2009 05:02 PM

Received this in my mail just now:

Dear Friend of Team Durango,
We have just sent details of prices and availability for the DEX410 to the press. Please look out for them on your favourite R/C news website!

Agh, press releases should not use a format like .docx!

Jimmy

May be of some use not actually tried them yet:-
  • Docx2Doc is a web service which offers free conversion of docx documents to doc format. http://www.docx2doc.com/
  • Zamzar is another service which offers document conversions. The advantage of Zamzar is its capability to convert not only office documents, but also images, music, archives and videos as well. http://zamzar.com/
  • NEW! Thanks to Michael for sharing this resource. TDS Converter offers free conversion of docx to doc. http://converter.tds.lv/

Cheers mate, I've converted it now - it's strange but I'm certain one line of text copied and pasted from a normal .doc file doesn't add up to 15,000 characters. But from .docX it does! Grrrreat! haha.

So I once I found a reader, I had to copy and paste into notpad to remove all the hidden formatting - and 15000 invisible characters - and then reformat it for the press release.. boooo!

Anyway, 450ukp - more than expected but that's the way of the economy right now. Anyone who complains (and once you SEE the car, you really can't) can wait for the 'R' version which is inline with other 4wd buggies in terms of price and spec.

good on you jimmy - not converted from docx before so not aware of the hidden characters issue...job done though so nice one (from me and everyone waiting to hear about the durango)

Won't complain Jimmy, but all I'd say is for that price it needs to perform as well as it looks! Signs look good though, and it's a beautiful piece of kit!

Not that I'll be partaking, doubt the futaba receiver will go in there!

GRIFF55 03-06-2009 01:16 PM

get spektrum for the futaba Dave!! It's surely worth it:drool:
