if you got metal diff outdrives on the rear Dan, it should be fine, with the stock plastic 'holders', too much power, the diff plates spin on the holders grrrr... stoopid idea, I dunno why.

I am geared 18/85 at the moment, might be slightly under geared though I will have to see. with the motor wires facing rear I had no problems fitting the motor, meshing the 18t pinion was at the limits though without removing some materiel with the dremel. A smaller pinion wouldnt fit I don't think without work.

How is the review coming along Jimmy? Just curious.

(hovers over reviews button nervously)

Elliott.

EDIT: Just read the Batley Supercup post. Ooh running it this weekend. Nice.

jimmy 17-02-2007 08:44 PM

Given it a bit of running today with old tired nimh and a lipo - bit of a difference I have to say! running with the mamba max 5700.

The shocks are an obvious flaw on this car right now - I am going to go try and tune them, put the hardest pistons in and if I can find harder oil-that too.. they are just incredibly under dampened from kit settings (I actually have it harder than kit settings already).

I might end up putting the DF03 hop-up shocks on the car tomorrow - ideally I'd like to give it at least a couple of runs bog standard and if I cant handle it then put some options on it like the centre one-way and shocks. Those are the two things I think it will need most (slipper hasn't arrived yet)

Just to prove I ran it! well, this is vicky driving it, but I gave it a thrash too! hehe..

After some hard reviewing - the car takes a rest to look at the scenery.
