i just can't believe all of the negitive comment's off some people.
you have a new club wanting to come in to the regional series and most of you are saying they shouldn't hold another race there.

i hate to say it, but i agree with lee:woot: you need to learn to drive the track to your level, and don't try things that your not capible of.

the guy's at the club have put a lot of work into the track over the last month or so, and knowbody's giving then any credit (which i think is unfair)

give them a chance, see if they can inproove on the track for the 4wd round.

The effort was appeciated by all and the meeting was very well managed, but you can't ignore the fact that there were more breakages today and number of non finishers than would be in any way normal.

I am sure others will air their opinions when they get back.

Bring on Jarrow..

after reading what some people have said on here they are just blaming the track, but some of the heats i seen some people need to take a look at them selves, and there skill level.

to drive a car round a track takes two things 1: the track and 2: (and most inportant) the driver:woot:

ben it's the same oganising people as today.

ben 26-04-2009 06:11 PM

ahh but when have i complained about how the meeting was run???

Richard Lowe 26-04-2009 06:12 PM

To be fair though if you can't go down the straight full wood without the car flipping randomly something's wrong!

It's the same for everyone though so it's not unfair, just a bit frustrating from the sound of it.

Your car is spot on Chris, it felt awesome and was as quick as anyone but i had motor problems in the final.

I can name 3 national tracks that have straights that will break cars if you get the line wrong, it's racing, if you want to go flat out everywhere go racing on road. People moan about flat grass tracks but when they get a purpose built off road track they moan

Would people say eden park is a crap track because it's a car breaker? Personally i love eden park, its probably one of my favourite tracks because it really rewards you when you do a quick clean lap. It was the same today, because it was a challenging track if you nailed a section or a downslope it gave you a sense of achievement and it meant you could take a lot of time out of the cars in front.

To be honest, first thing this morning it was hard work, but after a practice you learnt the track and found the limits.

I for one can't wait for the 4wd regional, my x5 felt really good the few laps i did.

ben 26-04-2009 07:31 PM

But eden park isnt random, you can actually pick the same line every time and it wont change? Ed?

Good luck with the 4wd Ed, hope the math works out

How does the track change every lap????

ben 26-04-2009 07:37 PM

Because the upslopes of the ramps arent shaped consistently across the faces of the jumps? There are joins of astro all over the corners?

Ill grab my coat. Wont be going back soon..

ja76 26-04-2009 07:40 PM

I am new on here and i am a member of nrx and race 1/8 scale, when this track was built it was built for 1/8 use only but it has recently gone major work by peter ellis(turbo brick) and others who have taken grief along the way all to give you all an new outdoor venue in the north and you cant even thank them for it.
says allot in my book

Ja

So that means your not driving the same line, if your hitting a different part of the jump, different joins on the astro???? :p

hi mate i watched your last heat you had a very clean run and where flying and had a very fast time then in the A final you got the monk head on started swearing and saying this f --kin track is rubish everytime YOU messed (10 times every lap) yet you blamed the track yet it was fine the heat before your final wasnt it tbh i hope you dont come back your atitude stinks, do you know how much work has gone in to it from me and others for me to stand and hear your coments i cant tell you how i wanted to react...... carry on racing on wood floors and sorry our shite track is not upto your super driving standards.

ben 26-04-2009 08:45 PM
