Maybe he did but I must say I've never heard anybody break a Kyosho driveshaft, other than the RTR ones, they are built to a price and motor spec and won't take much more than the kit motor on high grip surfaces like carpet.

Just building the turnbuckles and i noticed that in the manual is says to remove some of the ball cup.

I fitted the prior to removing just to see why this was the case. But i cant see the reason.

Is the realy nessasery

Yes, it is super important!!!!

When the car is fully together you'll see that if you haven't removed enough material from them you will not be able to get sufficient steering lock.

I have cut mine back at 30 degrees to the point the ball stud will be full visible to about 60% of it's diameter.

The more ackerman spacing you run the more important it is ..... if your using set-ups from myself or Fab you'll be putting some spacing in there and thus really need to trim them!
