Went together perfect. I went for the premium versatile plastic. Just waiting on Fybre Lyte with the rear tower, should be here tomorrow/Thursday. And a few little blingy bits...............:):) |
CTE Layback Gearbox Install

Fitted the CTE Layback gearbox to the Bronze COBRA Racing chassis tonight.
It fitted straight in with no modifications or alterations to Chassis or Gearbox. The Bronze COBRA Racing Motor Plate fitted again to perfection straight onto the CTE Gearbox and Motor Plate brace fitted and drilled to the chassis. Just waiting on Fibre Lyte and the build can be completed. Then need to sort the body shell to make it look the part...............:):) CLICK TO ENLARGE PICTURES...... |

Had the Fybre Lyte Cy Rear Tower come yesterday. Again fantastic fit and workmanship.
I have also fitted the rest of TRF211 to the COBRA Racing Chassis conversion and the CTE Layback gearbox and Rear Tower. For those who are interested in this conversion, this is what I have used. COBRA Racing TRF Alloy conversion kit CTE Layback gearbox CTE/Cy Rear Tower The TRF Buggy I used was a TRF211XM. Other than the 3 items above, the rest is complete TRF Hop-Ups and TRF Parts. Even the inside of the CTE Layback gearbox is TRF211XM Parts. Oh and the Blue wing washers and Thumb Screws are EXOTEK but TRF BLUE......:D CLICK TO ENLARGE PICTURES.... |

So been fitting the electrics. All finished and ready for testing once I have the body and Ive painted it.
Other than the chassis kit, gearbox, shock tower and battery strap. Everything is Tamiya/TRF I'm even running the Original Tamiya wheels front and rear...:) Really happy with the finish.......:thumbsup: I will post pictures once the body is painted and fitted. CLICK TO ENLARGE PICTURES....... |

Sorry its not for sale......:( COBRA Racing will make the conversion for it and are great guys to deal with, so give COBRA on here OR Jasonrcb on here a pm, either will help you. Gearbox is CY and he has a shapeways shop with everything on there and yes there is a laydown gearbox for it, so 2 options,,,, Layback or Laydown. Hope that helps reddscott...... |
