Hi dagger,

Thanks...yes,re downloaded it and its fine .....what differance does this newer firmware make to the mamba max over the old 1.17 firmware??

Aside from the improved motor drive algorithms, there are the usual bug fixes. The changes are listed under the Mamba FRH page. It doesn't mention the motor drive improvements as they were already present in 1.19 and 1.18 (which were only really meant for the Monster anyway). If for whatever reason you don't get along with 1.20 then you can easily move back to 1.17, but from what I've heard, it's a marked improvement.
I'd use it myself on my Mamba Maxes, but I got a new PC which runs Vista 64 before 1.20 came out...and Vista 64 won't recognise the Max. Driver issue, lol.

Hello!

I bought a Graupner Sports 9.5T instead. Works really well with my Mamba Sidewinder ESC and 2s Intellect lipo. Coggs minimal. Very soft start. Works cleanly, driving GM-Racing motors without sensor.

mamba on vista

Cant you do the old trick of running the castle creations software as an administrator in vista rather than running it as a user, this was always the way of solving the problem and I used to run it perfect in vista but I got rid of the esc/combo as I used to get real overheating problems, so much so the esc would shut down and more often than not my nimh cells would get so hot they were almost at melting/bursting point.
