A few quick details about Sunday,

1/8th qualifying will be to FTQ and 1/10th will use round by Round.

Practice on sunday will be ran in 10min slots, starting with 1/10th at 8.30 1/8th at 8.40 and so on, you aren't limited to amount of practice just to time slots.

As stated before practice will finish at 9.30 along with booking in.

If there is enough classes etc this is how I hope the heats will line up.

Heat 1 1/8th Buggy
Heat 2 1/10th 2wd
Heat 3 1/8th Truggy
Heat 4 1/10th 4wd
Heat 5 1/8th Buggy

There will be approx 4 mins between heats and the computer will be on automatic, so if your not on the line for the start you'll miss it.

1/8th will have a rolling start, this will be explained at the drivers briefing, 1/10th will have the traditional staggered start.

The minimum drivers we can have per class will be 6 to make sure there is enough marshals, any classes that don't have enough the drivers will be slotted in with other classes of the same scale.

Peter Im out sat night so might be late (You never know who you'll meet) so book me in. What time is heat 1 on the line?, oh and are we doing TQ???

chrispattinson 28-02-2009 08:44 AM

Are there any different rules when marshalling 1/8th? For instance if a car cuts in 1/10th, you just unplug it and stick it at the side of the track. Is there a rule in 8th where a pitman can restart it?

if the car cuts im sure that the pit man will have to collect it as you cant leave your marshall position, so hand it to there pit man when they collect it and it up to them from there

Are you sure Neil A?? Seemed a bit hectic racing smelly cars to me. People were running all over in total pandemonium trying to start cars etc. Track is very good for 8th scale though. Broke the Cat after 8 minutes!!

turbo_brick 01-03-2009 10:04 PM

Get the best of both worlds, electric 8th, mine rtr is £330 or there abouts, takes plenty of abuse, if your at Jarrow on tues I'll bring it up and you can have a go.

Cats are like toys though. You want a tamiya.

You can jump it 12 feet in the air at jarrow, smash it off walls, crash head on with other cars and even land it on its roof doing a back flip, however take it to worksop and if you so much as grip roll it smashes into 4 pieces....

8th looks fun and if i get one racing it will be free.....
