Mike Hudson 17-05-2009 12:40 PM

It doesn't fit

masca555 17-05-2009 03:16 PM

could work the B4's? I never saw the front bumper as a original spare by jconcept ...

andreasH 17-05-2009 08:45 PM

Manual says AE 9562, would be B4/T4 Front Bumper

just picked up a worlds edition with some well stange shocks on, I have a full set of B4 FT shocks, will they work?

chris68nufc 15-11-2009 07:37 PM

Pete. You need AE 6417 Rear and AE 6418 Front. Not sure what the B4 are.

chris68nufc 15-11-2009 07:42 PM

The Rear of BJ4 is 1.03 and B4 is 1.02 and front is the same as the B4. Ive just looked it up so they should be fine.

GRIFF55 15-11-2009 07:45 PM

you might need just the b44 front spring platforms to raise the springs up on the front.
have you got a pic of these weird shocks?

b4pete 15-11-2009 07:58 PM

Ohh yes, be on soon, they look decent, but arent right for this car. Got to be worth a couple of quid to someone. Just hope someone can ID them

Chris, love the car mate, what were those numbers (1.02) etc about?

b4pete 15-11-2009 07:59 PM

Griff, what do the spring platforms look like?

chris68nufc 15-11-2009 09:05 PM

The numbers are the lengths of the shocks that you need to be the same as the BJ4. The fronts are the same as a B4 however the B4 Rear shock is smaller than the BJ4 by 0.1 of a mm. The lengths i have quoted are from the thread to the top of the shaft.

GRIFF55 15-11-2009 09:21 PM

thats the boys!!

b4pete 15-11-2009 09:31 PM

I hate to sound like stampo, but, why would i need to raise the springs up?

chris68nufc 15-11-2009 09:40 PM

Its Stampy......

You get more scope to raise and lower ride heights as the springs that you will be using are short i think. Rich Lowe will be along shortly to confirm!!

sparrow.2 15-11-2009 09:48 PM

The Associated springs are fairly short and the bottom spring cup would hit the wishbone when running more droop at the front if you weren't using the raised spring cups.

b4pete 15-11-2009 09:53 PM

so just order some b44 cups from M K on monday? lol

its a shame about the shocks that are on it ...... lovely and smooth! lol

ben 15-11-2009 10:24 PM

got some you can have F.O.C pete..

b4pete 15-11-2009 10:25 PM

Cheers ben!

Richard Lowe 16-11-2009 12:23 AM

The shock bodies on the B4, B44 and BJ4 are all the same, the rear shafts are the same too. The B4 and BJ4 use the same front shock shafts, the B44's fronts are a touch longer.

The raised spring cups are indeed to give you a greater range of adjustment, you can get away with the standard ones but you will be right at the bottom of the threads ;)
