The issue with that tower is its not as strong as it looks and has weak points in the design so would recomend the mms semi circular design tower, its a great handle to carry the car, also aids you when rolling so nine out of ten times you make it back on your wheels and its strong. Also on fibrelytes site.
Ive also got a few ideas for adding strength, get two nyloc nuts preferably slim ones and bolt the top two screws to the gearbox as that seems to help. |

Had a practice yesterday but ended in a disaster, having flipped it over at the end of the main straight it was a sitting duck. I got rear ended by a modern 4wd buggy.
It happened so fast it wasn't really anyone's fault. Resulting damage: Cracked body Cracked chassis either side Bent rear wheel Bent rear drives shaft This was my new build :lol: |
ouch! looks nasty!. mine managed a 5 minute run last week unscathed, going for a full meeting this week so who knows!
