Do you guys not find that glueing your servo saver fecks your servo??

And what do you glue it with?? Surely CA ould just crack??

dan_kitty 19-11-2008 02:25 PM

nice picture chris, my mrs went around saying "nobjokey" for ages, not realising it was an offensive gay saying.. she thought it was a type of pants. she must have said it numerous times infront of her gay friends.

Southwell 19-11-2008 02:25 PM

I used CA glue, i have managed to snap the actually link off that so make sure you have a spare. Decent servos shouldn't break without a saver. I even ran a cheapish one in the xx4 last year with no breakages.

dan_kitty 19-11-2008 02:27 PM

sorry that was a bit off topic lol

c0sie 19-11-2008 02:27 PM

Might have to remove that AV then, it isnt intended offensivly, maybe I just have a different meaning for the phrase!

Cant be doing with making more enemies lol

dan_kitty 19-11-2008 02:31 PM

lol, didnt mean you were being offensive:) its funny, however now my post makes no sense cos u changed your picture

Mike,

Im presuming that your an experienced driver and therefore not going into corners WAAAAY to fast?

I used to run the following in my B4:

Front
Middle on tower
Outer on arm
Outer on tower ballstud with 1mm spacer
Outer on hub
Steering knuckle in middle
Yellow minipins (outer and inner cut to suit)
Lead in nose
30' caster
0 toe
1' camber

Rear
Outer on tower
Inner on arm
Outer on hub
No ballstud washers
Std antisquat
Std rear toe
2' camber
28g lead where gearbox is

IceMike 19-11-2008 03:35 PM

im experienced in someways :P

but nah i dont go in to fast, its just on some sections of our track im strugglin to keep it turnin in the corner. pushin it to hard to keep up with bish i think :P

IceMike 19-11-2008 03:37 PM

wot about the shocks mate?? and how much lead in the nose an where u put it??

c0sie 19-11-2008 03:51 PM

35wt front, 30wt rear
Blue front, silver rear
Standard pistons (2 front, 1 rear?? Cant remember)
No rebound

What about a front wing? Pro-Line of JConcepts??

IceMike 19-11-2008 04:04 PM

i have a jconcepts on but not on the car atm. i forgot about taht. should dig that out

_sleigh_ 19-11-2008 04:19 PM

How much rear wing gurney are you running?

IceMike 19-11-2008 04:23 PM

off the top my head. i think its only about 5mm i leave on there. only a little bit to hold the whole fing together

_sleigh_ 19-11-2008 04:52 PM

If it's high speed sweepers you're struggling on, it might be an idea to try a coulple of different rear wings. Depending on the current size of the one you're running then go a little smaller and remove the gurney.

As also mentioned above, try a front wing in combination with these rear wing changes.

At crashing and yes going into corners far to fast.

Cris I used to suffer from this with my b4 before i saw the light to deal with it persoanlly i just changed my driving a little didnt gun it out of corners as quick took a bit of a wider line into the corner. Generally just went slower though out the corner.

Mike, what servo are you using? have you tried a different one?

If you do glue the servo saver up, it might well be that the servo has been strained so much over a long period of time, it's lost it's torque.

Worth a try pal

IceMike 19-11-2008 05:27 PM

usin a trusty blue bird :P yer i might invest in a new servo soon. ill try everything else first cos i do just think its the setup of the car
