Nice touch to make it compatible with current parts, like they did with the RB6 diff.

mr. ed 23-04-2014 04:24 PM

would be nice if they also made a modification to stop the front suspension bar from rolling up on the first nose-dive ;)

Seeing this has made me sort my own creation back to working order.
Using the scorpion suspension mated with a sprinter style rc10 carbon chassis and trackmaster ultima drivetrain... looking forward to put it out against the re-re :p

You can have a look here:

That's how it had been sitting since 2008.

New are a descent wing stay and wing, shorty lipo and savox low profile servo in front of the shorty pack, receiver moved in front of the servo and ESC centered in front of the bulhead over the pack. But I haven't made pics of those new modifications yet.

Thanks :)

Cracking vid, Will definitely be buying one. And if they re-release the Mid, well, that would be the best RC car news ever.

I finished mine last night. The build quality is great, very impressive. One thing to note is that some including myself have found the dogbones to bind badly with the swing of the arm. All I did was loosen and retighten the trans (centering it) and I also did the same to the arm mounts. No binding whatsoever now. The trans is silky smooth, and the fitment is perfection.

Oh, and the tires still say Sand Super on the other side. I will be painting and turning mine around eventually!

OptimaFan 12-07-2014 07:27 AM

You mean binding of the dogbone with the A-arm itself? Maybe a pic to clarify?

Looks nice, maybe a few green stripes on the wing as well?

The binding is when the dogbone is parallel to the ground. At full compression and full extension it is free. The arc that the arm takes makes it bind until you re torque everything. Once the trans is centered left to right the binding is gone.

In the original manual they show that the trans needs to sit centerline of the plate. Apparently this binding is not a new thing lol.
