After talking to Nori we will not have the use of the stage this week so the track will have to be used for some pitting too. With this in mind I will be getting there early to help set up and see where and how to set up. if anyone wants to come down early I am looking at being there for no later the 4pm.

We can still stand at front of stage for rostrum, just not pit on there. I think with the two side rooms, front room, kitchen and hallway we'll be fine to have the full hall for track. I'll get there as early as I can Nick. please remember to sweep floor before hand.

I'll try get there early to help but not sure if i'll be able to

I have been speaking to Nori tonight and he thinks that the stage floor is being painted as well as the sides of the stage. If the stage floor has paint on it then no we cant stand on the stage. We will see what the stage and any other items are like when we get there. I will be doing my best to make sure there are no pitting tables on the track so we can use all of the floor. And it will be swept I have permission from the wife to take our microfibre brush so it should get more dust up and give us better grip ?

I'm thinking keep the tabletop from last week but with a straight exit downramp. And try aim for somewhere between fast and technical. We don't want it too easy. :D

Tilly 21-02-2014 12:26 PM

i was hoping there'd be a table top :-)

Make sure people can see both the up and down part of the ramp from wherever they are stood. This has caught us out in the past.

I want to see a loop de loop, flaming hoop and topless cheerleaders. Don't let me down!

Heat listing for 21st Feb 14

I have manually created and separated the first heat as 4wd drivers.
This will give the top 2wd members to possibly race the 4wd members
if they do well. It also creats the opportunity for the 4wd members to race against other members rather than them selves all night long. Thanks Nori

good meeting and track tonight. can't grumble at 5 rounds and 2 finals each.

Nori_10 22-02-2014 11:34 AM

Good night's racing

Overall enjoyable evenings racing. Thanks track builder's / dismantles.

Danny Harrison 22-02-2014 01:56 PM

I enjoyed the track too. Allowed me to get adventurous :D

Makes life easier when ppl put track ideas forward. Cheers Paul Farrand

Tilly 22-02-2014 05:03 PM

yeh it was an interesting track, never quite got to grips with the table top though. Well during the races that is, didn't do too bad in practice runs lol. Thanks for another fun night guyz

neallewis 22-02-2014 08:25 PM

the tabletop works better with the white plastic sheeting taped to it instead of carpet. the carpet in the run up made it difficult to square up to take it cleanly. the carpet on the down ramp and out corner bunched up and again made it inconsistent. the other issue we had was the stage extension which mean we had the gaps to fall into. it worked better the week before completely up against the stage with no gaps.

Craig i noticed your car lifting a rear wheel as you came off the straight and onto the carpet whilst turning before you hit the up jump. this was upsetting your car and made you inconsistent on the table top.
What front oil/springs did you have front and rear, and how many limiter washers in the front shocks?

jampat2004 22-02-2014 10:35 PM

Would have like to no racing was on again 2 weeks in a row, didn't realise this was just sat in twiddling my thumbs on Friday night could have been racing damm.
