Looking forward to finally running my cat SX at the 2nd round!

Just have a few questions, i assume the doors open at 9am? and what format do you run? and what time is it likely to finish?

Many Thanks
Paul

dbizzle5 04-11-2008 10:17 PM

Doors opened at 9.30 I think last time. But not sure this time. Im sure Rob will confirm. Last time it was 4 rounds and final. Was finished quite early. Bout 3 I think but this will all depend on numbers.

blitzboy 04-11-2008 10:22 PM

not long to go now mmmm hope there s more lumps and bumps this time too

Robbiejuk 05-11-2008 01:10 PM

Doors will open at 9:30am for all rounds.

Five Races, four rounds of qualifying, best 2 to count and one five minute final. Points scored for both.

AS for ramps and stuff I will hopefully be getting some more stuff in for the next round and then the third round hopefully we will have built our new modular ramps which we are planning meaning we will be overrun with ramps.

A couple of us are thinking of coming up on saturday if places are still available? Also with all the chaos of what cells are legal, are the trak power 3200 & 4800 saddle packs allowed for racing?

Robbiejuk 12-11-2008 12:45 PM

yeah they can be used. We do ask however if you are charging lipo batteries to charge them in a lipo sack. If you don't have one we have a few that can be brought/hired on the day.

Oh yes and there are plenty of places available. Either pre-book through the site http://rj.wbmcc.com or just turn up on the day.

Mains power is available mate. Finishing time was about 4pm I think last time. As for gearing, depends on you car??

Thanks for the reply.

Car is a xxx / zx5 hybrid.

Gearbox intenal ratio is 2.5 (zx5 back end) - spur gear 75.

Been a few years since I raced indoor off road and never raced brushless or lipo before., so am a bit clueless on gearing.

Well this will be probably absolutley no help at all but on a 6.5 I am running an overall ratio of 9.22 which on your car would be about a 20 tooth pinion but as you are running a 10.5 I would have thought you would need to gear it higher than that. I know in my touring car i have had to gear the nuts off my novak 10.5 to get any straight line out of it. I would start on a 22 pinion and work from there.

I have no problem with you bringing the car down for the practice at the start if you would like to try it out, Doors open at 9:30 and there will probably be an hours practice before the racing starts. I would like to see the car in the flesh to

Yes we are racing on saturday guys. Had a few more new faces book in last night which is all good. Everyone is welcome and you can always turn up on the day if you want to race.

Nottingham is great for christmas shopping so why not drop the missus off in town with your credit card and have a day of racing whilst she has a day of shopping.

Looking forward to it :D
