This may be wrong but was right a few years ago when i was in the motor trade:

By law any motor dealers have to give warranty with any new or used vehicle they sell.

The minimum warranty they HAVE to give is 3 months, but most decent franchised garages give 12 months. For this warranty there will give you a warranty certificate or some form of receipt.

But the thing alot of the smaller garages will not give you this certificate if you dont ask for it, even tho they are banners everywhere saying its included in the sale, so you will be stuck with 3 months.

If i was you G i would go to the dealer and shout as loud as you can, but make sure its full of customers first.

Why not just send julie

Edited to add Daz beat me to it mate.^^^

G,
i would go down to the dealership and start talking to thier potential customers and telling them directly what has happened to you, they will soon sort it out. ;)

If you get really stuck, there is a member of our club is an aircon engineer, would be happy to see if he would look at for ya.
Try the direct route first though(putting thier customers off),it has allways worked for me :)
Best of luck fella.

That's email contact only. Ok, so how do I find a phone number for Vauxhall?

They say it has 12 months garage warranty, and the air conditioning compressor is covered under this, but I have to pay labour for diagnosis, and re-gassing. If it was Network Q covered it would be totally free - that's my beef.

ive just phoned them about an 04 astra (so over 3 years old) they say it comes with garage 12 month warranty not network q as over 3 year's old....he did say air con was covered under garage cover but didnt say anything about labour charge's just repair's covered upto value of car and unlimited claims.
if your air-con is working but just not very cold then a re-gas should sort it and would have thought it wouldn't be covered as this is classed as fair wear and tear

Thanks fella,

It's been re-gassed, that didn't fix it. I've diagnosed the problem myself, 12V is getting to the compressor but the electro clutch doesn't engage.

So what is the point in that? No Network Q if over 3 years old?
