Well took the old old girl out again to Maritime, took a few clips of it running and it went viral after a share from rc car action, I'm up to 61k views!

Great for PR for vintage/my club

Looking forward to testing the car tonight at my local club

Looking great Mark! What AE shocks you using the ones that come with the re re?

MHeadling 08-03-2016 05:19 PM

Cheers mate! They are V1 AE big bores off the B4.2

Some running footage on the big bores, needs a stiffer front Spring but a marked improvement over the kit team shocks

May I ask what steering setup you have on your car? I got my Worlds re re recently, and had to replace the kit bushes in the steering bellcranks with ballraces. The bushes were so stiff it would never have worked. It still has quite a lot of slop, I have changed most of the plastic rod ends to RPM where I can.
I was surprised how well the car went at my local track, an outdoor bumpy mixed astro job. Went pretty much as well as my B3, although that needs a bit more work as it jumps nose high.

The bell cranks were purchased years ago on eBay US, not seen many of them since

Another option are the jconcepts bell cranks, these come with bearings etc or you can just ball race the kit steering

Hope this helps

Cheers. I have already had to ballrace the steering, but it is still a bit sloppy. I think the JC bellcranks are probably the answer.

You can still get the A&L ones

Cheers Peakey. I might plump for the JC ones rather than risk a nice fee from Parcelfarce! I am running a Savox 1257TG so servo should be ok without the plastic flexing as a saver. My mate has a Works 91 which struggles with getting a decent amount of lock, I dont suppose you have any experience with the A&L in a Yokomo by any chance?

Not really buddy what's the problem? Is it the right one for the YZ10?

I posted about it the other day, he struggles to get what looks like reasonable steering lock without linkages hitting each other on the bellcranks (it is built correctly). It also has anti ackerman, so the outer wheel has more lock than the inner one. He often complains about understeer, but some setup changes will help if I can get him to do it! I was wondering if the A&L setup would improve things.
