I do it like the schlong,

fill with oil,
locate the slot,
pull the shaft up to the flange,
present your assembly to the hole,
screw in gently most of the way,
push the shaft in deep,
finish screwing,
mop up the inevitable mess.

Not only is this thread extremely helpfull (managed to build my Losi shocks perfectly thanks to all the advice!) but its also probably the funniest read in agggggges!! lol
