You coming this weekend like dave ?

If I wanted to race on tarmac I'd race touring cars, the clue is in the name - 1/10th offroad :p

On a serious note I don't think the tarmac is going to add huge amounts to the racing but it might add large amounts to the tyre bill for a days racing. Not everybody is a sponsored driver :)

Chris
Using the banking would be ace. Good to see variation
Tarmac - Southport have it in their track :eh?: using carpet might be a better option

Either way its your choice

We can still use the features without just sticking to a flat grass track though. A dirt section? Or the carpeted banked corner sounds like it could be a good idea.

It's a shame we're so spoilt for choice! I'm sure you'll work it out on Friday though :)

I think we should race at Dynamix......saves all the arguments!

Before you have a pop at me I'm stuck at work, not allowed half day holidays and I've booked up my all of my holiday entitlement for this year. Nothing I can do with the Regional dates announced so late.

Stop stirring there's no need for it.

chris68nufc 27-06-2013 07:57 PM

He wasn't being a stirrer.....I think he was amazed that you have never been on here kicking off....must have been a month is it? Chill man.....if your at work your at work. It's only toy car racing. There's plenty of other people helping otherwise there would have been a thread on here about helpers wanted!

Cheers for the offer of help David on the Sunday night. Much appreciated. Im sure we all understand that some people need to be at work.

Chris ... regarding a track work party ... there's a thread on our (NEAM) club sub forum regarding this.

We have a number of members (and gratefully -> non members) helping tomorrow, which is great, but remember, the more the merrier for track building. And the more track builders we have, the better the track will be, so more help is always welcome :) So pop over if you can.
The agenda is 10AM @ Seaham, then 11ish onwards at Gypsies green. Bring your waterproofs for track building, but atleast it looks like a dry weekend of racing

I think it maybe time to close the poll. The consensus is a grass only track. I've been down at Gypsies green a few times today while the grass had a preliminary cut by the council, and it's looking good for track building.

My 4 day weekend just started, roll on some great racing. :)

dpackster1980 27-06-2013 08:45 PM

I wasn't keen on the banked tarmac corner. I'll race on any track, at the end of the day I just want to race not argue. I'm not going to fall out with anyone over model cars.

N7ELA 27-06-2013 08:50 PM

I only wanted your opinion David, as the chairman.

gazbaz2 27-06-2013 11:23 PM

Chris a tracks a track where ever it is and what ever its surface, you lot are good enough to put this event on for every1 and I know all the hard work that's involved in putting an event on, you can't please every1 all the time and what ever you decide to do I know it will be good it always is
So forget about trying to please all racers and ill see you all there on Saturday, can't wait 😄

Does anyone happen to calling in mb tomorrow? Ordered tyres for pick up and forgot to get em... Might not make it tomorrow, they are paid for though

Edit, sorted now. I'd come help tomorrow if I could. Too far away :(
