If you are running in 'open class' at the regional does that mean lipos and motor have to be brca approved as my 2wd has a motor that's not brca legal.

Primarily the event is a 'SANCTIONED' BRCA event where all the electrics have to be approved equipment.
The club or clubs kindly run open classes next to the official meeting for the club racer or the ones that want to practice another class but on sanctioned events everyone has to run to the rules of the day whether in an open class or not.

If you need a legal motor to run for the day let me know and I can help you with an Orion for the day :)

That's put a right downer on my day, as I too wrongly assumed that as I was only going to be in the open class my normal hardcase lipo and 7.5 motor would be ok to run, but apparently not as its not on brca list. Looks like I'm going to have my name scubbed off the entry list.

That would be great Shaun - more speed can only be a good thing (I think).
Running shorty lipo at the moment but saddle lipo's will fit.

Dullett if you are stuck I can lend you 1 set of Orion 5500 90C saddles or an Orion shorty. I've got an 8.5vst not currently mounted in a car too.

In return all you have to do is entertain my dog :)

I have electrics too if someone needs some help.
Last thing anyone wants is to see people not able to race.
