The cross-over is a success then?

kartstuffer 10-04-2013 08:15 AM

Yes its good but needs a totally different car set up ( for me anyway)
Just got everything working for the last track and it dosent work on this one, but for Alan his car is totally stock and he is flying, 3rd behind Mark & Mick ??

Cant wait for tomorrow when I at last get a chance to race on the new track:)

So, another few people raced on the new track, how are you finding it? The underpass facing the rostrum is a good idea, makes it that bit easier to not get stuck. How is it going marshalling it?

First off I'd like to say I'm really enjoying the new track, it has some really tricky bits & keeps you on your toes:thumbsup:

Found it awkward to get to cars who got stuck on the exit of the tunnel from marshalling point 2 at the far end of the rostrum.

You have to cross the straight & the lane after the tunnel to get to a car, a few times I just could not get over quickly as cars were whizzing down the straight!, maybe a set of traffic lights would help and a pedestrian crossing:D:D

I looked at other parts of the track to see if there was a better marshalling position but each position would block certain parts of the track from the line of sight on the podium!

I know Graham improved the exit from the tunnel by cutting the hose on the LH side as you look at the tunnel from the podium. Some cars were clipping this.

With my basic driving skills:cry: I hit the LHS of the tunnel a few times by turning a bit early before the exit. At one stage, while I was stuck, I felt I had time to text the marshal & request them to get my car:D:D It was not their fault they just could not get to me due to traffic.

Not sure what the solution is? ideally we need a marshalling point closer to the exit or just don't make any mistakes:woot:

Correct Kevin

Just do not make any mistakes

Well said

Wait until the wall of unbelievable death is built

Meath77 16-04-2013 10:17 PM

So Kev, what you're saying is to take people out at the exit of the tunnel? I'll remember that one!

The wall of death sounds good. Will it have flames around the edges?

celticpanman 16-04-2013 11:03 PM

Hi all

Just to let you know that the wall of ultimate death has been finished at the Naul

10 ft tall 60 degree incline

Hope to see you all there soon

The Doktor 17-04-2013 12:13 AM

After a long night of work, the wall of death looks pretty good. Its been tested as it was built so there should be no issues.
Except of course the spikes, the flames, the flaming spikes and the crocodile pit (which wont be fed before sunday)
It is the Wall of Dire and Dreadful Death...:thumbsup:

Excellent video, wall of death looks great. That and the tunnel seem to work well , nice to have some features like that on the track.
We should put some big metal spikes around the edge, so if you hit them your car is broken for the day.

Yeah, fair play to Graham and Lee for giving up their evenings and doing the track. And anyone else who gave up their time.
