Make sure your car is right, take your time and don't be afraid to ask , we all started out !

Practice, practice , practice

Both the above are more important than any hop ups or bling bling or fast motors !

to finish first, first you have to finish.

Check your car over carefully after each race, make sure nothing is loose, that tyres are still well glued, are your tx batteries fully charged, etc, etc.
The old 7P's adage is so good!

Keep your pinions tidy on a pinion boad so that you don't have to count the teeth each time. If you don't have one then you can make one with small nails hammered into a small wooden board.
