Depends on if it's better than the current Lazer Reg.

I'm sure it would be as Kyosho aren't known for going backwards :)

Pick your poison

There's not many bad 4wd cars out there right now:

B44.2
DEX410
K1
XB4
FS2

All of those will win races in the right hands.

Second that!

You choose , it's your money , to be honest i'd go for the K1.

I had the Xray 1/8th scale so i know what there build is like...but , i just love the look of the k1 , and after building an SV2 early this year it was a delight to construct.

Easier than a B44.1 !

The top guys could thrash a scalectrix car round a circuit and still win.

It's like asking Lewis Hamilton what formula one car is the best , then going out and buying the road version of his car and thinking you will whoop him on a track day.

I've just bought the xb4 and tested it for the first time today, it was awesome! Haven't driven a k1, but seen them go and they also look very impressive. A difficult choice, shaft wins for me, i don't think you'll go wrong with either.

add that the XB4 shock towers also break left and right.

for the K1 there is alloy for the mention breaked part but i only read of one who did break it at this time.

Yeah, although thicker shock towers are an easy part to sort yourself. Still, sounds like the XB4 has more teething problems. There's faulty hardware in some kits too from what i've read.

discothesnake 24-12-2012 09:17 AM

Both of them are brand new kits so there always going to be teething problems. It was a tough decision between the two but I went for the XB4 because I don't fancy belts. I am expecting to have issues with it at first, it's only natural. New models of real cars have issues too.

I just finished building mine yesterday and it went together perfectly. Almost as good as my Yok.......

Once people get them going next season then we will find out what happens with what car.

As someone said earlier, there ain't a bad car out there.

Almost... ;)

Almost finished my X-ray.
Quality is great - its built like a tank.
Only problem was a ball stud with the driver socket missing, so I had to use a pair of pliers to thread it into the plastic.
Rest of car looks great - lots of parts kind of oversized, which suggests it will be strong.
Drivetrain is super quiet and smooth and very free running.
All in all, looking good.

Considered the K1 for around 5 mins, then came to my senses :)
