When we were over at the clash last year, maifield ran a 7.5 and lipo and his car was rapid, i thought he had a 5.5 in personally. But the fast guys choose to run milder winds so they can get the power down easier and so they dont upset the balance of the car so much.

Slow is fast

CHILLI CHEESE!!!!!!!!!!! Can ya smell what the rock is cookin

Try to run the car without rims and tyres, slows it down a bit, so you make less mistakes.

I'm quite partial to an avocado sandwich with cress swirls, ricotta cheese and a light vinaigrette too :wub Obviously without crust.

I started with a 7.5 in the B44, I now run a 6.5 lite series novak motor.
I can manage to pull faster laps with the 6.5 that I couldnt do with the 7.5R. I run nimh so my car will be heavier than the lipo powered ones.
I guess I'm one of the ones that rather run cheap batts.

I just didnt know maifield ran Lipo. Tebo probably does also then.
Cav what does he run? I have his setup in my B44 manual also.

i thought they all did ?

I would drop to a slower motor Brian, it will do you the world of good !

Have you ever thought of running a slightly more porpular class to be able to measure yourself against other people instead of just coming last all the time? Trucks are seriously easier to drive and just the thing to learn with. And stock with a lipo is just the thing to hone your skills with.

As for the setups, here goes:

B44

TRF501X

RC10T4 <-- MASSIVE HINT!!!

I'm waiting for the kyosho stadium truck to come out.
Ben Ellis had it up at linton, but it was covered up so people couldnt see it.:bored:
4wd buggies I have been running for 2+ years.
2006-rcrcr
2007-rcrcr
2008-albion/reo

I would be happy with a T4, but that would just give others an excuse
for me to run 2 classes and pay more money.

And I didnt get last this past weekend. I got 2nd place with 20 laps in 8 mins.

Lee 09-06-2008 07:43 PM

Brian you may be slightly quicker over 1 lap with a 6.5 but can you do it every lap?

If the answer is no then put in a slower motor.

Haha I didn't see that, I stopped at 'It's not a 3 turn, it's a 3 turn'. It just gets better

DaveG28 09-06-2008 08:28 PM

Brian, seriously, put a slower motor in! Lee is probably about right on what to try motor wise!

Hub carrier wise I have heard plastics better, best thing is to try them sometime and see!

Still, your a legend, even 70's people loved you! "I'm Brian and so's my wife!" go Monty Python!

SHY 09-06-2008 09:03 PM

Brian, you really should buy yourself a T4!

And some LiPo batteries (USE THE CORRECT CHARGER!!!) and a 7,5 turn brushless motor.

I promise: You will LOVE it!!! (Even Hulk Hogan would have loved it!)

The std. setup for the T4 works like a dream!

PS. I made duck breast for dinner today. It was good. My girlfriend made me make kenoa also. That I don't like. She says it's healthy but I don't like it. She now does not like it either after I cooked it. I like that. I also made salad but that's not so interesting. But it was salad with both chili and honey melon. I liked that. I do not like people falling asleep while reading my post...

Did you cut the fat on the top into little squares and fry it slowly to get rid of the excess fat? It turns crispy on the top then also? Then turn it to get the other side sealed and then into the oven for 20-30mins at 120°C.
I'm getting hungry just thinking of it

Brian,

you are buying parts for two cars already! And not even running two classes at that...
Stick with a T4 if you get a truck because it's always an idea to buy the car you can get parts for easiest... Plus it goes like shit off a shovel and you won't be on your own looking for setups.
It's not there for you to shoot your mouth off about it being the best truck out there and blowing everything away and being your ticket to a Kyosho sponsorship bla bla bla bla :p

Congrats on the second place! What race was it and how many people were running?

Yessir! Cut into squares, rub with salt n' pepa. Fry it hard (with no butter or oil) for 7-10 mins until the fat is bacon crisp. Then flip it over and fry 2 more minutes. Let rest 5 minutes and serve... with red wine sauce +++ Extremely good with "Hasselback" potatoes... (brush/clean and keep skin, cut into a fan, salt, pepper, green spices, butter or olive oil. Oven for 50 mins at 250 deg C, 10 last minutes prinkle with lots of parmesan)

BMag, what's your favorite food?

You know your ducks ;)

Meat that good doesn't need sauce! The potatos sound interesting, must give it a try with the duck breast I will be getting tomorrow...
BTW what are "green spices"?

SHY 09-06-2008 11:06 PM

Oregano, Basel(Basilikum?) etc...

Put the potato in a spoon when you cut it so you keep the back...

Well, I'm a sauce-man! Ever tried to make sauces yourself? Mmmmm...

Bon apetit! :lol::lol::lol:

Just a club race with a 4 year old, 22 year old, and a 8 year old.

The 22 year old beat me because he ran a XXX-tCR with Lipo.
In the middle of the race I was pulling faster laps than he was though. Its just at the very end he wasnt making that many mistakes and I made a couple. I could have won, but just didnt care.;)

Wes and Rudd beat this guy every weekend, so he probably felt good to win one race, because he never wins.
